McKenna Sloan Georgia

After completing her high school education in 2021, McKenna Sloan Georgia embarked on her university journey at the University of Georgia. Here, she decided to double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems, blending her interests in data and finance. Her decision to pursue a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and prepare for the CPA exam indicates her ambition to establish a career in public accounting. This choice reflects her forward-thinking mindset and commitment to her professional development.

Outside of her academic and athletic commitments, she has a variety of hobbies that underscore her multifaceted personality. She enthusiastically supports college volleyball, especially teams like Wisconsin and Nebraska. Her love for literature, with a particular fondness for mystery novels by Agatha Christie, and her enjoyment of stand-up comedy, notably Nate Bargatze's performances, reveal her wide range of interests. Additionally, her interest in American history, pursued through podcasts, and her enthusiasm for outdoor activities like skiing and snowboarding highlight her adventurous spirit.

Her academic prowess and dedication were recognized by the University of Georgia, which awarded her the Classic Academic Scholarship. She also gained acceptance into the prestigious J.M. Tull School of Accounting and the Terry College of Business. Despite her demanding academic schedule, she actively participates in Beta Alpha Psi, Sustainable Business Society, and Women in Technology, providing her with opportunities for networking, learning, and community engagement.
